My name is Clare and my husband is Peter, we are Gilberts. We are a small family run business in the village of Taynuilt on the west coast of Scotland, and are very passionate about our produce, we have had many years of farming and catering experience which has led us to our croft. We have free range pasture fed hens, they roam freely over the Croft been moved every few days to new ground giving them fresh bugs and beasties , our pork is free range, we have our own from time to time but buy mostly from locally, Glenorchy Farm, Tristan and Fiona are very passionate farmers and there pigs are fantastic . Our venison we buy from Alastair Ross, he manages the deer up Glenkinglass and is very passionate about what he does. The quality of the meat is so good.. We sell Pies, free range eggs, dry cured bacon, and sausages, all produced using our own recipes and made on the croft, the pigs are taken by us to the local Abattoir for slaughter, the venison comes straight from the glen to our fridge, Clare then butchers and process the meat in our micro butchers room into all our delicious produce.
