Hema’s Kitchen is a family-owned business, based in Cheltenham. When we moved to the UK in 2009 and tried Indian food from restaurants and take-aways, we could see a massive difference between the taste and lack of authenticity in the two countries. Feeling disheartened with the whole idea about restaurant food and ordering “Indian Food” from outside, my mother felt the need to share with people the authentic taste of Indian spices in food. So, we started off catering for local events and parties. We then branched into pop-up stalls, food festivals, music festivals, and lunch services in and around Cheltenham. Our customers loved and appreciated our food and frequently asked us how they could make similar tasting curries at home. The Global Pandemic “COVID-19” further deprived the people of visiting restaurants. This drove our most recent expansion into a new line of products – “Curry Mix Kits.” They are pre-blended packets that allow people to experience the taste of traditional Indian food at home without the need for culinary expertise or hunting for ingredients; simply follow our step-by-step instructions provided.
